One of my characters wants to create a website called rabidmonkeyvirgins.com and, for a moment, I thought that might make a cool title for the book.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

No.

L/T

I kind of hit a bit of a snag, plot wise, so I've been reading for the past couple of days, fiction, mostly, but I've also been trying to locate some good writer resources online. One thing I've discovered while looking up terms is that I think, maybe, I write Literary Thrillers. Least it seems like that to me. They're not standard, that's for sure!

Forward. Slowly.

It's weird how committing to something makes parts of it easier, and parts harder. I'm giddy with excitement and making lots of plans on how to approach the task I've set before myself, but I'm also too excited to sit still long, which makes the writing part hard.

Also, I think I have a problem with gerunds or something. These writing terms are baffling!

Starting off!

Hello!

I've never had a blog before, but it seems like all real writers have one. So here goes. I'm Meg Arnold, 37, single (does anyone care about that??) and I live in a little house in the 'thumb' of Michigan where employment opportunities are pretty much non existent. My folks are gone and I don't have any siblings, so it's just me, Bruno and Heidi - my two pups - watching my already-battered 401(k) slowly evaporate. Hey, at least the house is paid for and the freezer's still mostly full.

I've been writing little stories and things my whole life but after getting laid off in May I decided to try and be a real writer. A PUBLISHED writer. They earn the big bucks, right?

I'm currently working on my first real manuscript (as yet untitled) and I hope to start looking for a publisher soon.

Here's hoping it all falls into place.
